John Gelsinger (18s National Head Coach / Coach of Coaches / President) – 4th Season at PE
I am John Gelsinger, Head Coach of the 18s National Team, Coach of Coaches and President of Pure Energy Sports. Coaching is my passion and volleyball is a game I love. I am certified by USAV as a CAP I coach and have been for the last 4 years. I am a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance which believes in “Better Athletes, Better People” by working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience. That is what we have developed this club and that is how we will operate.
Bianca Patterson (18s National Asst Coach)- 1st season at PE
Bianca Patterson. Graduated from Harker Heights High School in 2011. Played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. She received 1st team, 2nd team, and honorable mention All-District honors in both volleyball and basketball. In 2010 she made the 2nd team All-Area team for volleyball. After graduating, she played volleyball at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas, where she received a full-ride scholarship. In 2012, she made the All-Academic team for NJCAA Region XIV. In 2013, she graduated with her Associates Degree in Science. She then went on to the transfer to the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor where she is finishing her volleyball career as their Middle Hitter. She is currently participating in her senior year of volleyball. She is a Math-Education major and plans to teach middle school math and coach after graduating.
Kaylene Sullen (16s National Head Coach) 1st season at PE
Hi my name is Kaylene Sullen. I’ve been a teacher & coach since 2008. Took off this year to stay home with my new daughter. I graduated from the University of Texas in Tyler with my Bachelors. My passion is coaching young women & helping them reach their full potential. This is my first year with Pure Energy Sports. I am looking forward to a great season.
Jenna Jenkins (15s Regional Head Coach)- 1st season at PE
Hi my name is Jenna Jenkins and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. I am majoring in EC-12 All Level Teaching and Coaching in hopes of becoming a high school volleyball coach and math teacher. I played one year of club volleyball through Bell Co Juniors and this is my first year coaching at Pure Energy.
Cassaundra Rowan( 15s Regional Asst Coach)- 1st season at PE
My name is Cassandra Rowan, feel free to call me Coach Cassie. I am currently a Junior at UMHB pursing a career as a nurse. I played volleyball for Florence High School and also Blackland Volleyball club out of Hutto, Tx. My club volleyball experience as a player was something that I’ll cherish forever, and I’m super excited to be getting back in the world of volleyball. I hope to have a great season and to help the players succeed to their best potential as an individual player but as well as working as a team.
Breanna Wilbourn (14s Regional Head Coach)- 1st season at PE
Born and raised in San Diego, California. Breanna has played volleyball for a total of 8 years throughout junior high and high school. Besides volleyball, Breanna has participated in varsity basketball, softball, track and field. At the age of 12 years old she received her 1st degree black belt in Taekwando, finishing with a second degree black belt at the age of 16. Breanna is currently in college to become an EKG technician and is pursuing a job in the medical field. She loves to coach because of the life lessons that can be learned and applied while playing game.
Tejon Wibourn (Asst Coach 14s Regional)- 1st season at PE
Tejon is from San Diego California where he attended Monte Vista High School, where he played Men’s Varsity Volleyball for four years. During his four years there he lead his team to three league champions, two quarter final appearances in the CIF playoffs, and a 5-5 record at a national AAU tournament in Las Vegas in 2010. Coach Tejon knows what it takes to be a successful player and knows what needs to be done to take players to the next level.
